I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Finance and a minor in Family Science. Honestly, I’ve used the Family Science more than the Business Degree over the past 25 years as a full-time stay at home mom. My husband and I have been married for 29 years and we have 5 kids. We struggled to get them here back when we were first married…but then they all wanted to come together! We had 5 kids in 5 1/2 years. Now they are all in college at the same time! It has been a crazy, fun, amazing, blessed time. I love being a mother!
I had the opportunity to care for my mother a few years back while she was struggling with Parkinson’s disease. She passed away in 2017 after fighting it for 12 years. I know how confusing Medicare can be with the crazy amount of information and ads that come in the mail and the incessant phone calls; and I know how hard it is to be the full-time care-giver while also being a full-time wife and mother. They call it the “sandwich generation” – caring for aging parents while still raising your own family. I can truly empathize with anyone dealing with this situation. It is so hard!
